2. Make sure the ID document is readable and matches the details entered in the official portal.
3. Rename the downloaded file to id_card.jpg if the portal requires the exact source filename.

UPSC online applications use Account Creation, Universal Registration and the Common Application Form. Prepare the passport photograph, Photo ID JPG and triple-signature file. Live photograph capture stays on upsconline.nic.in.

UPSC applicants whose passport photograph, Photo ID image or triple-signature upload is rejected for file name, file size, image quality, background, face coverage, orientation or signature layout.
