How to prepare
- Sign in black ink on white paper using your normal running/cursive handwriting - RRB rejects block letters, capital letters and disjointed signatures.
- Mark a 35 mm x 20 mm box on the paper, sign inside it, and scan the sheet at a minimum of 100 DPI so the signature meets the stated 140 x 60 px minimum.
- 140 x 60 px is a stated minimum, not a fixed size - do not shrink below it even if a generic resizer defaults to an exact-size output.
- Never submit a thumb impression in place of a signature; RRB explicitly lists this as a rejection ground for CEN 06/2025 and CEN 07/2025.
- This signature must match what is captured again at the CBT, Document Verification, Medical Examination and Appointment stages.
Source: Official RRB CEN 06/2025 & CEN 07/2025 (Para 14.5.1): scan the signed paper at a minimum resolution of 100 DPI. JPG/JPEG only. File size between 30 KB and 49 KB. Image dimensions: minimum 140 x 60 pixels - this is a floor, not a maximum. The signature must be centered inside a 35 mm (width) x 20 mm (height) scan box marked on the paper before scanning.
