Where each rule is written

-
OFFICIAL (upsssc.gov.in, HTTP 200 from an India client, 2026-08-10): 'The photo image dimension (3.5 cm width, 4.5 cm height) ... is required to be scanned and stored in (*.jpe,*.jpeg,*.jpg) format.' and 'Ensure that the size of the scanned photo image is between 50KB to 100KB.' No DPI/pixel value is given, so only the aspect ratio is carried.
-
OFFICIAL (upsssc.gov.in, HTTP 200 from an India client, 2026-08-10): 'sign image dimension (3.5 cm width, 1.5 cm height) ... stored in (*.jpe,*.jpeg,*.jpg) format', 'Ensure that ... the sign image is between 20KB to 50KB', 'The applicant has to sign in full in the box provided', 'Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS is not permitted', 'The signature will be used to put on the Hall Ticket'. Guideline point 5 mentions a stray '20 KB' scanner-DPI line that contradicts the 50-100 KB photo range in point 4 — point 4 is the authoritative size rule; do not 'correct' the photo range to match the stray line.
-
OFFICIAL (upsssc.gov.in, HTTP 200, 2026-08-10): confirms the candidate scans a photograph together with a signature put on white paper and UPLOADS it in the prescribed format — the artifacts are candidate-uploaded, not captured live by the portal.
