How it works
-
Add your e-Aadhaar PDF
Drop the password-protected PDF you downloaded from UIDAI. To get a new e-Aadhaar, go to uidai.gov.in.
-
Type the name and year of birth
Use the name and year as printed on Aadhaar. The page fills the first 4 letters plus year; paste a different password if this file is an e-PAN, e-EPIC or bank statement.
-
Watch the preview unlock
The lock lifts as soon as the password works. A wrong password stays locked — this page does not guess another one.
-
Download the open PDF
Download unlocks only after the password works. You get the opened file. If this browser cannot save the original, you get a page-image copy — not the UIDAI-signed e-Aadhaar.
Questions
e aadhaar pdf ka password kya hota hai
The e-Aadhaar password is the first 4 letters of your name as printed on Aadhaar, in capitals, plus the year of birth. Spaces are skipped; punctuation is kept. RAJESH KUMAR, 1990 is RAJE1990. P. KUMAR, 1990 is P.KU1990. A masked Aadhaar PDF from UIDAI uses this same password. This page opens a file you already have — it does not make a masked Aadhaar.
My name has fewer than 4 letters. What is the e-Aadhaar password?
Use every letter of the name, still in capitals, then the year of birth. OM born in 1990 is OM1990. The page does the same when you type a short name.
What password does an e-PAN or e-EPIC PDF use?
Not the e-Aadhaar first-4-letters-plus-year rule. Many e-PAN files use date of birth as DDMMYYYY. Some e-EPIC files use the EPIC number. Bank statements print their own password. Type that password in the field — this page does not guess it.
Does my Aadhaar PDF leave my device?
No. The file is opened and saved in your browser on this page. Nothing is uploaded to a server, and nothing goes to UIDAI.
Can you unlock a PDF if I do not know the password?
No. This page only tries the password you type, or the UIDAI password from the name and year you enter. It does not guess, brute-force or bypass an unknown password. Unlock only your own document.
Is the downloaded PDF still a signed e-Aadhaar?
Usually yes — this page saves the opened original when the browser can. If it cannot, you get a page-image copy, not the UIDAI-signed e-Aadhaar. A note appears under Download when that happens.
