How to prepare
- Sign on white paper with a dark pen, keeping the signature horizontally aligned and not tilted.
- Follow the official annexure: cut out the signature box and sign so the signature fills at least 80% of the box before scanning.
- This preset follows the GD 2026 notice's 6.0 cm (width) x 2.0 cm (height) figure; third-party sites that quote a 4.0 cm width are wrong for this exam's current notice.
- Blurred or miniature signatures are rejected, except for candidates who opted into Aadhaar-based biometric authentication during One-Time Registration.
- This page prepares only the signature file. SSC GD Constable's photograph is captured live in the SSC portal with face authentication; do not use a pre-existing photo, as the notice states that is grounds for summary rejection.
Source: Official SSC GD Constable 2026 notice (item 21, page 48): allowed image size 10 KB to 20 KB in JPEG/JPG format. Image dimension: about 6.0 cm (width) x 2.0 cm (height) at a resolution of 300 DPI. Blurred/miniature signatures are rejected; signature should be horizontally aligned. Annexure-III (page 57) advises candidates to cut the signature box and sign within it so the signature occupies at least 80% of the box.
