How to prepare

  • The GD 2026 cycle's Online Application Form window (01.12.2025 to 31.12.2025, fee payment deadline 01.01.2026, correction window 08.01.2026 to 10.01.2026) is fully closed as of 2026-07-10. Its Computer Based Examination also ran through late May 2026 -- SSC's Important Notice dated 22.05.2026 shifted one shift from 28 to 27 May 2026 for a holiday change -- so the GD 2026 cycle is now in the post-exam stage.
  • The next cycle, 'Constables (GD) in CAPFs, NIA, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2027', appears only in SSC's official Tentative Calendar of Examinations 2026-2027 (row 12) at month level: Date of Advertisement September 2026, Closing Date October 2026, Tentative CBE January-March 2027. No day-level Notice of Examination for GD 2027 has been published on ssc.gov.in as of 2026-07-10, so this page cannot and does not publish exact open/close dates for the next cycle.
  • Third-party trackers publish day-level GD 2027 dates such as '30 September 2026' and '31 October 2026'; these are not sourced to any ssc.gov.in PDF and must not be treated as confirmed until the actual Notice of Examination appears.
