- Colour or black & white photographs are both accepted; polaroid and computer-generated photos are not.
- UGC NET also requires a separate LIVE photo capture inside the application form; this scanned upload does not replace that step.

- Sign in running handwriting on white paper with blue or black ink.
- Do not write your name in capital letters in place of a signature; NTA will reject it.
- Crop close to the signature and avoid faint or blurred scans.

About UGC NET
UGC NET is NTA's national eligibility test for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), held twice a year in June and December. The form needs a photograph and signature, plus a Pwd/PwBD Disability Certificate/UDID PDF only for PwD/PwBD candidates.
UGC NET applicants who need compact, readable photo, signature and Pwd/PwBD Disability Certificate/UDID files before submitting the NTA form.

Official bulletin verifies the scanned passport-size photograph rules: JPG/JPEG, 10-200 KiB, colour or black & white, 80% face visible including ears without mask, against a white background.
